Synopse

In Richard Linklater's new film, a professor turns into a hitman and a comedy into a thriller. Gary Johnson teaches his students about moral philosophy. But to escape the dry theory of the lecture halls, he pursues an exciting side job alongside his university career: As a technician in a surveillance van, Gary helps a police team with undercover investigations. One day, the mid-thirties man fills in for a colleague and has to pretend to be a contract killer. To everyone's surprise, the unassuming professor plays the role with flying colours. When he gets more assignments and meets the charismatic Madison, Gary's role play threatens to get out of hand.
