Synopse
Two different women in a still united country: Just before the partition of the Sudan, ethnic conflicts in Khartoum escalate. A gripping drama about exclusion and racism. Mona, a retired singer fron the North Sudanese upper class, accidentally causes the death of a man from South Sudan. To make up for her deed, she takes in Julia, the man’s unsuspecting widow, and her son. While Julia works as a domestic servant, Mona begins to get used to this status quo. But the unrest in the country is drawing ever closer and forces her to confront her actions once again.

MOHAMED KORDOFANI comes from Sudan and lives in Bahrain. He works as an aviation engineer and is a self-taught film-maker. Goodbye Julia is his debut feature.
