Synopse
Leipzig, 1989. Twelve-year-old Fritzi lovingly looks after little Sputnik. He is the dog of her best friend Sophie, who has gone to Hungary with her mother for the summer holidays. But Sophie does not return to class for the start of school. Like many others, she has fled to the West. Fritzi bravely sets out to find her friend and gets into an adventure that changes the future of the whole country.
Regie
RALF KUKULA (*1962 in Dresden) is a German filmmaker and director. In 1999, together with Grit Wißkirchen, he founded Balance Film GmbH, of which he is a shareholder and managing director. The company's main focus is on the development and production of animated and documentary films for cinema and television. Together with director Matthias Bruhn, the film was awarded the Film Critics' Prize in 2010.
