Synopse

Asta Nielsen had long wanted to play the part of a child, and her husband and director, Urban Gad, fulfilled that wish with "Engelein" (Little Angel, 1913). Nielsen plays the part of 17-year old Jesta, who has to pretend to her rich uncle (Max Landa) from America that she is twelve. Were he to find out that she was born five years before her parents married, he would disinherit her. The plot thickens when Jesta starts falling in love with her uncle...
