Synopse
In the interval before the final act of La Traviata at the Venice opera house, La Fenice, worldfamous German conductor Helmut Wellauer (Rudolf Wessely) is found dead. A difficult case for Commissario Guido Brunetti (Uwe Kockisch). The dead man leaves behind a much younger wife (Susanna Simon) and numerous suspects, including star soprano, Flavia (Leslie Malton), the ageing singer, Clemenza (Gisela Trowe), and the art critic, Padovani (Gustav Peter Wöhler). Based on the first of Donna Leon’s popular crime novels featuring Brunetti.
