Synopse

At the end of a successful career, theatre director Sasha returns to his home town, an industrial dump in the Croatian provinces, small, dirty and claustrophobic. The mayor, an old schoolfriend of Sasha's, has taken it into his head to revive the town's theatre - and decides that Sasha is his man. A bizarre and highly amusing race against inability begins: only 5 candidates come to a casting session, each weirder than the last. What unites them is a total lack of knowledge of acting and theatre. But they love Westerns. So Sasha simply converts the theatre's stage into a prairie for 5 most unusual cowboys.

Regie

Tomislav Mrsic (*1972) is above all known for making TV series. Cowboy is his film debut and was the most successful Croatian film of 2013. An English language remake is already planned.
