Synopse
DOCUMENTARY For the good of the people: in his new film, doyen Frederick Wiseman observes the complex work of the city administration in Boston. The town hall is the nerve centre of every conurbation. What every citizen takes for granted – security, sewage and waste disposal, social issues, town planning, culture, education – are the result of long decision-making processes of the urban executive. For City Hall, Frederick Wiseman returns to his home town of Boston and observes Mayor Marty Walsh and his staff in their daily work. He shows why a functioning city adminsitration is necessary for humans to be able to live together successfully.
