Synopse

After months of imprisonment in the Donbass region Lilia, a Ukrainian expert for aerial reconnaissance, returns home to her family. The memories of what she has lived through torture her and keep returning in her dreams. Something growing deep inside her prevents Lilia from forgetting – but the young woman refuses to be a victim and fights for her personal liberation.

MAKSYM NAKONECHNYI (*1990) studied direction at the Karpenko-Kary University for Theatre, Cinema and TV in Kyiv. Butterfly Vision is his debut feature film and celebrated its premiere at Cannes in the section Un Certain Regard.
