Synopse
In an emotional coming-of-age story, two loners discover the world together. 1987 in the Mexican community of El Paso in Texas. Teenagers Dante and Aristoteles meet one hot summer’s day at the swimming pool. Both were named after philosophers, but don’t have much else in common. Dante loves the water, Ari can’t swim. Dante has a lot of self-confidence, Ari a lot of self-doubt. Despite the differences, they become friends and spend all their free time together. Ari realizes that he will miss out on a lot of stuff if he doesn’t open up a little. But their shared, insightful summer comes to an abrupt end when Dante and his family have to move to Chicago.
