Synopse

In his second feature film, Ofir Raul Graizer celebrates the cinema of the 1960s and 70s. America is a soulful love triangle, full of colour and scent – between swimming pool and Mediterranean, life and death. Eli works as a swimming instructor in Chicago. When he gets news of his father's death, he travels reluctantly for the first time in 10 years to Israel. Although he had really finished with his past, he makes contact with Yotam, a childhood friend, who runs a flower shop with his fianceé in Tel Aviv. The reunion sets off a series of events, every one of which gives the life of each participant a new direction.

OFIR RAUL GRAIZER (*1981 in Israel) studied Film at Sapir College in Israel and lives in Berlin and Jerusalem. His debut feature The Cakemaker was shown at numerous festivals, including FILMFEST HAMBURG in 2017, and won several prizes.
