Synopse

A little girl has to say goodbye to her nanny: a moving drama about love and letting go. »I only have memories with you«: Six-year old Cleó lost her mother early on, lives with her father and was brought up by her nanny Gloria. The connection between the two runs deep – so it’s a great shock for the girl when Gloria returns to the Cap Verde Islands to look after her own family. When Cléo visits her in the holidays, she has to learn to deal with the realisation that Gloria had a life before her and has a present in which she does not play the main role.

MARIE AMACHOUKELI (*1979 in France) won the Camera D’Or in Cannes for her debut film Party Girl (FFHH 2014). This year, Ama Gloria opened the Semaine de la Critique du Festival de Cannes.
