Synopse
An epic portrait of a family in West Jordan over three generations, in which personal destinies are inseparably interwoven with Palestinian history.When young Noor is injured in a protest in 1988, his mother Hanan begins to recount her moving family history. This begins in 1948, when Noor’s grandfather Sharif refuses to leave Jaffa in order to protect the family house and orange grove. But war, displacement and imprisonment tear the family apart. Sharif’s son Salim grows up in the shadow of his home country. When Noor, decades later, protests against Israeli soldiers, fate seems to be repeating itself. But Hanan and Salim take a brave decision which gives the family new hope.

CHERIEN DABIS is of America-Palestinian origin and was chosen by Variety as one of the »10 Directors to Watch«. In 2009, FILMFEST HAMBURG showed her debut feature film Amreeka. All That's Left of You is her third feature and had its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.
