At this year’s FILMFEST HAMBURG INDUSTRY DAYS from 29 September to 2 October 2025, the renowned industry platform European Work in Progress (EWIP) and the International Film Distribution Summit (IFDS) will be docking in the Hanseatic city for the first time. Additional pillars of the programme include the event series MADE IN GERMANY, the EXPLORER KONFERENZ, #ATELIER25, as well as our collaboration with ENCOURAGE Film Talents.

Industry Programme

MADE IN GERMANY

With MADE IN GERMANY, the known panel program of the Industry Days takes on a new format: across four afternoons, current topics of the German film and television industry will be in focus – featuring engaging discussions followed by networking opportunities. mORE

EXPLORER KONFERENZ

The EXPLORER KONFERENZ, held in cooperation with PROG Germany and the MOIN Film Fund, remains a core element of the INDUSTRY DAYS. It provides a platform to discuss current trends and challenges in producing across Europe.mORE

EWIP

European Work in Progress is an independent industry event showcasing European and German films with high artistic quality and strong market potential. The event is aimed at world sales companies, broadcasters, film festivals, and distributors. mORE

IFDS

The International Film Distribution Summit is specifically aimed at professionals in international film distribution. The summit fosters international exchange and networking while providing fresh impulses for future release strategies. mORE

#ATELIER25

Another key component of the programme is #ATELIER25, in cooperation with La Semaine de la Critique Cannes – for the first time in collaboration with young talent initiative FIRST STEPS. mORE

ENCOURAGE

Talents meet Industry Professionals: ENCOURAGE Film Talents is the networking initiative for young filmmakers in German speaking countries.. mORE

 

Encourage Film Talents

Delegations

FILMFEST HAMBURG is delighted to welcome a wide range of international delegations. Ten European producers from the EFP program PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE will meet ten Northern German colleagues. MOIN Filmförderung, together with the FFA and the Produktionsallianz, invites 60 experienced producers from the Five Nordics to the Nordic NEST kickoff. In addition, the African-European Distribution Academy (AEDA) will be in Hamburg, bringing together representatives from the African film industry with European colleagues.
