Synopse
The man in the sea: On a remote Hallig island, a lost soul seeks redemption. A film that moves with the rhythm of the tides, full of quiet gestures of humanity. Munir (Georges Khabbaz), a Middle Eastern writer living in Hamburg, is suffering terrible homesickness. Tired of exile and alienation, he travels to Langeneß. Here, surrounded by the boundless forces of nature, he intends to make a final decision. He finds refuge in a small hotel owned by worldly-wise Valeska (Hanna Schygulla). And even though they exchange only few words, Munir’s dark thoughts find a new direction.
