Synopse
Two young people travel through Tunisia, carried by the wind and their desires. A shimmering road trip which rediscovers the Maghreb region for the cinema. Alyssa lives in a remote town and is bored. The monotony weighs down her sparky temperament like lead. When the opportunity arises to finally break out, the 19-year old asks her childhood friend Mehdi to accompany her on a trip South. Together, the unequal duo set out, she the doer, he the dreamer – and experience a journey full of discovery and complications which keep putting their friendship to the test.

Born in Tunisia, AMEL GUELLATY works as a director and photographer. After two award-winning short films Black Mamba (2017) and Chitana (2021), Where the Wind Comes From is her debut feature.
