Synopse

DOCUMENTARY With pulsating energy and British humour, this portrait tells the story of the woman behind the cult figure Twiggy. Few women are as closely associated with the London of the “Swinging Sixties” as supermodel Twiggy. Almost overnight, Lesley Lawson – Twiggy’s real name – became a style icon, and with her androgynous look and strikingly large eyes, she changed the fashion world forever. For the first time, director Sadie Frost has managed to tell Twiggy’s story with her direct involvement. Alongside Twiggy herself, many of her companions also share their memories, including Paul McCartney, Lulu and Brooke Shields.

SADIE FROST, born in Great Britain, had her breakthrough as an actress in 1992 in Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula. She has also been active in the fashion industry since 1999. Twiggy is her second directorial work.
