Synopse
A sensitive homage to a forgotten love. In the main roles: Anke Engelke and Ulrich Tukur. Hans, a headmaster on the brink of retirement, inhabits the life of his wife Rita like a guest. Their son is long gone and their marriage of many years follows practised routines. The new bathroom tiles are just the beginning of something that makes Rita very uneasy. Suddenly, old wounds are torn open. Suddenly, both realize how little they know about their son’s life. Suddenly, it’s no longer clear whether they’re a couple any more or two singles. And then along comes life…

NEELE LEANA VOLLMAR, born in Bremen, studied at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and in 2003 won numerous prizes for her short film Meine Eltern. In recent years, her literary adaptations have been popular, including Rico, Oskar und der Diebstahlstein (2016) and Auerhaus (2019).
