Synopse
A film in limbo: the Argentinian-Swiss director Milagros Mumenthaler’s sensitive portrait of a young woman suffering from a mysterious dissociation. The Argentinian artist and fashion designer Lina is at the height of her career. After a gala in Switzerland where she was awarded a prize, on an empty bridge in the city she is overcome by a strange impulse – and plunges into the ice-cold water. Back in Buenos Aires, Lina tells no-one about the incident. But, quietly, something from her past is slowly revealed which she thought she had long left behind her.

MILAGROS MUMENTHALER was born in Argentina and grew up in Switzerland. In 2005, she graduated in film direction at the Universidad del Cine, Buenos Aires. The Currents is her third feature film.
