Synopse
A quietly intense family portrait of Spanish society after the end of the Franco dictatorship. An era of freedom and experimentation – but also with serious, dark sides. After losing her parents early, Marina, 18, grew up in her mother’s family in Catalonia. Because she needs some documents for a scholarship application, she travels to Vigo on the Atlantic coast to her father’s family, whom she has never really known. Marina plunges into a confusing world full of new uncles, aunts, cousins and stories that strangely differ from what she’s heard before. Accompanied by her mother’s diary, she begins a journey which throws up ever more questions.
