Synopse

A densely atmospheric neo-noir drama about an anti-hero with a powerful performance from Noah Sayenko in the main role. Newly released from prison, David tries to find his way back to a structured existence. He moves into a supervised residential complex, starts working as a kitchen assistant and keeps his appointments with the authorities. His girlfriend Janine supports him, along with his old friends – at least for a while. But everyday life remains fragile. Past debts, dubious acquaintances and a growing sense of insecurity about his place in the world start to weigh him down. When he loses his job, David begins to drift away from what had appeared to be a new start.

Regie

STEFFEN GOLDKAMP studied film at the University of the Visual Arts in Hamburg, graduating in 2019 with his short film Nach zwei Stunden waren zehn Minuten vergangen. He is a co-founder of the Spengemann Eichberg Goldkamp Hans film collective.
