Synopse

Seven people, seven episodes – radical, moving and humorous. We experience their thoughts, daydreams and fantasies, while they try to keep their heads above water. Daniel is jostled in a busy street and imagines teaching the jostler some manners. For Marie, the first date is above all one thing: pure stress! What if he notices how dysfunctional she is? Robert sees the other parents at the playground and drowns in self-doubt. Late at night in her room, Yara hears strange noises – a monster or her Mum? Karsten is climbing the ladder fast. He who brakes, loses. Agathe is looking for inner peace after a breakup, but is still furious. And Lenny dreams of Mo, his idol – and of finally being spotted.

Regie

Born respectively in Berlin and Munich, NICOLAI ZEITLER and MARLENE BISCHOF have been making short films and commercials together since 2016. They have won various prizes, including the ADC Directors Award in Gold. I Am The Greatest is their debut feature.
