Synopse
Two conspiracy theorists and an alien: Yorgos Lanthimos’ new film is a sci-fi comedy with Emma Stone as the female lead. Bee-breeder Teddy (Jesse Plemons) and his friend Don (Aidan Delbis) are two young men with a weakness for conspiracy theories. One day, they hatch a risky plan: they kidnap Michelle (Emma Stone), the powerful managing director of a major company. Convinced that she is in fact an alien and a threat to humanity, they get into a dangerous game in which the lines between reality and delusion get increasingly blurred.

Born in Greece, YORGOS LANTHIMOS has been one of the world’s most idiosyncratic and creative voices in cinema since Dogtooth (2009). His films The Lobster (2015), The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017), The Favourite (2018) and the four-time Oscar-winning Poor Things (2023) were shown at FILMFEST HAMBURG.
