Synopse
Director Geng Jun has created a monochrome, queer panorama about love, desire and alliances of convenience in the shadow of Chinese oppression. A freezing cold city in North-Eastern China. Here, a gay middle-aged man tries to escape his own inner stagnation and find a new love. At the same time, a lesbian couple decide to try and find a man to marry and have a child with. Playfully, the film combines a deep melancholy with laconic humour and shows how difficult and unlikely it is for people with all their idiosyncrasies to actually come together with another person.
