MODERATION

The films at the MICHEL Children’s and Youth Film Festival are presented by children and young people between the ages of 11 and 16. They introduce the films in the cinema, conduct interviews with the invited guests and lead the audience discussions. If you also have questions for filmmakers and enjoy being in the spotlight, we will give you the perfect stage. The moderation team will of course be supported by a professional who will prepare you well and accompany you with valuable tips.

We are looking for children between the ages of 11 and 16 for the MICHEL Children’s and Youth Film Festival 2025.

JURY

The MICHEL jury watches all the films in competition and awards the MICHEL film prize, the MAJA. But jury work is also a big responsibility. Before a film is awarded a prize, it must be discussed and debated. There may be many different opinions, but in the end only one film can win the prize. Do you enjoy watching films and discussing them? Then join our MICHEL jury in 2025! Of course, the jury will be accompanied and prepared by a professional.

MICHEL MOVIE KIDS

Who better to report on children’s and youth films than young film fans themselves? That’s why MICHEL MOVIE KIDS provides you with all the exciting information about the 20th MICHEL Children’s and Youth Film Festival. Young reporters between the ages of 9 and 16 grab the microphone, interview guests, discuss the films and take a look behind the scenes of the festival. MICHEL MOVIE KIDS has its own cinema editorial team and fills its own BLOG with film reviews and podcasts.
