At FILMFEST HAMBURG INDUSTRY DAYS 2025, the renowned industry platform European Work in Progress (EWIP) and the International Film Distribution Summit (IFDS) is docking in the Hanseatic city for the first time. Additional pillars of the programme include the event series MADE IN GERMANY, the EXPLORER KONFERENZ, #ATELIER25, as well as our collaboration with ENCOURAGE Film Talents.
MADE IN GERMANY
With MADE IN GERMANY, the known panel program of the Industry Days takes on a new format: across four afternoons, current topics of the German film and television industry will be in focus – featuring engaging discussions followed by networking opportunities.
EXPLORER KONFERENZ
The EXPLORER KONFERENZ, held in cooperation with PROG Germany and the MOIN Film Fund, remains a core element of the INDUSTRY DAYS. It provides a platform to discuss current trends and challenges in producing across Europe.
EWIP
European Work in Progress is an independent industry event showcasing European and German films with high artistic quality and strong market potential. The event is aimed at world sales companies, broadcasters, film festivals, and distributors.
IFDS
The International Film Distribution Summit is specifically aimed at professionals in international film distribution. The summit fosters international exchange and networking while providing fresh impulses for future release strategies.
#ATELIER25
Another key component of the programme is #ATELIER25, in cooperation with La Semaine de la Critique Cannes – since 2025 in collaboration with young talent initiative FIRST STEPS.
ENCOURAGE
Talents meet Industry Professionals: ENCOURAGE Film Talents is the networking initiative for young filmmakers in German speaking countries.
Delegations
FILMFEST HAMBURG is delighted to welcome a wide range of international delegations. Ten European producers from the EFP program PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE will meet ten Northern German colleagues. MOIN Filmförderung, together with the FFA and the Produktionsallianz, invites 60 experienced producers from the Five Nordics to the Nordic NEST kickoff. In addition, the African-European Distribution Academy (AEDA) will be in Hamburg, bringing together representatives from the African film industry with European colleagues.
