After a period of growth and almost full employment, we are now experiencing a decline in TV productions, cinema co-productions and high-quality programs. TV standards calculated according to marketing tools dominate the linear program, courageous and innovative series are almost only available in the media library – made with little money by young people for young people – so the impression to the outside world.
And many questions arise:
What are the strategies behind these decisions?
What diversity and gender targets have been achieved and are they also changing cinematic narratives and contributing to cultural change?
What are the best practices in dealing with diversity and what should the television of tomorrow look like?
Who better to answer these questions than the decision-makers at public broadcasters themselves?
