Four year’s labour, his apartment turned into a movie set, borrowed money, three failed relationships: young Israeli director Itai Lev put everything he had into making his debut film. Shot in black and white, it tells of love, trust, horror and deception. Set in Tel Aviv, it is the story of a detective caught in a trap, and the city’s saddest barmaid whose boyfriend wants to make a film of her life. Only a five minute walk separates the police from the criminals, enemies from lovers, a happy ending from a hopeless tragedy.
