Cécil, a 30-something French woman, is on a visit to Benin, when suddenly a woman appears, pushes a baby into her arms and disappears. All Cécil's efforts to find out who the parents are fail. The locals recoil from the boy and the orphanage won't take him.Finally, Cécil decides to adopt him and take him back to France. 7 years later: Lancelot is having nightmares. Cécil sees the cause in his home country and returns with him to Benin. There, a gruesome truth awaits mother and child, with its origins buried deep in religious ritual.
