In 1988 the Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet gives way to international pressure and allows a referendum on his presidency. Chileans have the choice of voting Yes or No to another 8 years of Pinochet. The leaders of the opposition persuade Renè Saveedra, a bold young advertising creative, to lead their campaign. Against all prognoses, with limited means and under the suspicious gaze of the Pinochet supporters, Saveedra and his team think up a daring plan to win the election, despite being allowed a grand total of 8 minutes of airtime on Chilean TV. No is based on a true story and won the Art Cinema Award in the La Quinzaine des Réalisateurs section at this year's Cannes Festival.
