Faisal, an Afghan-German photographer stands in an aircraft toilet filming himself on his mobile. He has been badly injured near Kunduz and doesn't know whether he will survive the flight taking him out of the country. One thought keeps him going: making public the real background to the air attack in which he was injured. The German air force bombarded two tankers that had been hijacked by the Taliban and are still disputing any civilian casualties. But Faisal knows the truth. When he collapses in the toilet, Walter Grewe (Ulrich Matthes), a doctor, tries to save his life and in doing so gets closer to his patient than he would like. The film is based on an actual bombardment by the Bundeswehr near Kunduz in 2009.
