Mik likes cooking, whales and heavy metal. And he's proud of his Dad who plays drums in a band, but drinks too much and one day collapses. Mik's brother isn't that reliable, so the youth welfare office sends Mik to his aunt's. But she lives in the middle of nowhere in the North of Sweden, a place full of snow and with people very different to what he's used to - and only 12 pupils in his new school! Luckily for Mik, one of them is Pi who has a hip-hop crew that like to turn placid village life on its head. Together they make great plans and Mik finally feels he's arrived. Then the welfare office turn up again and want to put him in a foster family. Now a really great plan is needed to stop them!
