Psychiatrist Bloch (Dieter Pfaff) is faced with an insoluble problem: providing therapy for a young woman who refuses to accept it. Rieke Hollstein (Katharina Schüttler) is deeply disturbed. Her father (Rainer Bock) refuses to recognize that she is ill, mistrusts doctors in general and thus supports her resistance. While both are out walking together, Rieke suddenly disappears and a short time later falls from a tree. An attempted suicide?By now it is clear that Rieke is in deadly danger. Together with her partner Benno, Bloch tries to break the fateful bond between Rieke and her father. Will he manage to uncover the young woman's secret and give her life a new perspective?
