How reliable are memories, how credible are accusations triggered by the sound of a voice? After a failed attempt to escape from Eastern Germany, a musician is transferred to the infamous women's prison Hoheneck. There she is tortured so badly that she has to give up her career. Years later she believes to have recognized her torturer of old times. Memories come to the surface but also doubts: Is she hysterical, traumatised, crazy or on the trail of a criminal?
