The homeless Nina (Judith Chemla) leaves her son Enzo (Max Baisette de Malglaive) with Damien (Guillaume Depardieu), a hermit who lives in a forest near the palace of Versailles. An initially demure relationship builds up into familiar tenderness. But the people of Versailles frown upon the camp in their forest – and the approaching winter looms, life-threatening to little Enzo... In his directing debut, Pierre Schoeller depicts the struggle of living on the fringes of society.
