13-year-old Carlos lives with his mother and sister in a settlement near Léon, Nicaragua. He earns his living with a traditional dance group. Because he prefers reciting poetry to dancing, he is thrown out of the troupe and his mother forces him to work on the market. Carlos tries to form a Gigantona group of his own, which is no easy task. The story was developed in cooperation with the actors, portraying a world in which children leave school at a very early age to start working.
