This is the story of twenty Jewish children, who have survived the concentration camp of Bergen Belsen and the war as orphans. They are travelling to Hamburg in 1945 to spend time in the villa of the Warburg family. While experiencing first love, open anti-semitism and dreaming of Israel they are gradually finding some sort of normal life again.
