With his first feature film The Sky, The Earth, and the Rain (2008) José Luis Torres Leiva (*1975) won the FIPRESCI Prize at the Rotterdam film festival. His second film Summer (2011) was shown at Venice in the Orizzonti section.

This film is a visual meditation on the landscape after a catastrophe. Shot for 8 days in the area most affected by the February 2010 earthquake in Chile, the film narrates a journey that covers with subjectivity all the images and sounds experienced during this period. This documentary is part of the “8,8” project by Chilean artist Fernando Prats.
