10-year-old Thiago lives in the village of Mutum, in the Brazilian back-country. There is no television, no cinema and there are no cars. The villagers ride horseback or go on foot. Thiago’s little brother Felipe is also his only friend. Together they live in world that is half imagination and half harsh, adult reality. When Felipe injures himself, Thiago needs to be brave. “Mutum” is a semi-documentary feature film in which the villagers themselves took part in the development of the story.
