[⏵] Pablo Larraín powerfully tests the limits of modern cinema. Ema is the portrait of a woman in flames. Their lives are as experimental and uncompromising as their art, but now dancer Ema and choreographer Gastón have gone too far: after an accident, they bring their 5-year old adoptive son Polo back to the orphanage after only 10 months. Ema soon notices that she cannot live with this decision. She wants Polo back, by whatever means necessary: intrigue, sex – or flame-thrower.
