Two loves take their leave and confront their demons. A breath-taking meditation on life, death and memory. Once upon a time, Pich was Shane's lover. Now, having broken off his course of chemotherapy, he faces death. He spends his days by the river, where he makes Bai Sri decorations, ceremonial flower arrangements that start to wilt before they are even finished. Shane too has to face agonizingly painful memories. When the two meet again, they put their faith in the healing power of love. With its slow and steady pace, the film's magnificent pictures create a space for reflection where past and present merge.
