A group of young women on the threshold of adulthood. In almost documentary fashion, the film accompanies them during their everyday lives, with their families, at school, at work, with their friends and lovers. Their experiences and development are characterized by the recession in Argentina, which has long since also come to affect the social elite. Old privileges and certainties are gone – and the women are forced to create a life for themselves with their own abilities and their own ideas. Which is both a form of Iiberation and a burden. The impressive coming-of-age film was inspired by Béla Bartók's opera Bluebeard's Castle
(A kékszakállú herceg vára) about a young woman's fateful curiosity and uses musical motifs from the opera.
