rated for 0 + yearsFikret is used to the monotonous sound of car engines under her window. What she listens for is the sound of one particular engine, which will signify the return of her husband Halil. But there's no sign of him. The young woman fears the worst. Days of uncertainty pass, punctuated only by the noise from the street that no amount of consoling words from family and friends can drown out. Fikret loses herself in her empty flat, her memories and imagination – and tries to call up pictures of her husband and her happy childhood. An intimate film that makes Fikret's yearning and the absence of her husband almost physically tangible.
