Dorothea Kleffner-Witkowski (*1972) is a teacher. Together with media educationalist Marc Witkowski she has made four films with Hamburg schools dealing with the life and feelings of adolescents.
15-year old Natalie lives with her alcoholic mother and two younger sisters on a council estate. And Natalie' problems are not just at home, but also at school, where she's bullied by other pupils. Her new friend Melanie sticks up for her and takes Natalie with her into a hitherto unknown world. She falls in love with the idiosyncratic artist Philip and everything seems to be turning out fine. But her happiness doesn't last long.
