A group of women and their love lives. They're all in their late 30s and early 40s and their relationship status is the same: complicated. They long for love with a capital L: faithful and constantly exciting. They are, however, miles away from it. The story tells of the ups and downs over three years, the simmering crises and open fractures. They meet at weddings, birthdays, at New Year or midsummer. Each time, something else has gone wrong. One partner doesn't want children under any circumstances although his girlfriend would like nothing more. Another is fed up to the back teeth with being married. They're in love, they have affairs, it's all very incestuous. Long Story Short is an entertaining ensemble film about love in which most of us will recognize some aspects of our own lives.
