Deep in the Sahara, Léonard and a group of refugees is trying to make it to Europe. Hope, a young Nigerian woman, joins the trek. Although they don't speak the same language, she and Léonard become close. He protects her from attacks from the other men and gangs they meet on the way. When they stop at an Algerian refugee camp in which different nationalities are fighting each other, the situation becomes dramatic for the Cameroonian and the Nigerian. Hope is a sometimes drastically realistic refugee and love story.
