Aaron is a butcher in Jerusalem’s ultra-orthodox quarter of Mea Schearim and has four children. He employs the young student Ezri to help out at his shop and finds himself sexually attracted to him. Not only is his marriage put to the test, but he is hurled headlong into a deep crisis. Deeply religious, he is torn between his love of God, his family and his repressed longing. In the orthodox world, homosexuality practically doesn’t exist, and soon the radical “modesty guards” are on his case…
