Figner works as foley artist in the St. Petersburg film studios. He is so good that he does not need computers to create sounds. He can imitate the sound of a snapping neck by crushing a cabbage head. But he no longer knows his way around modern-day Russia. A life-portrait, part documentary, part fiction, and a film about the various meanings of silence, explains director Nathalie Alonso Casale.
