Mia (Sofi a Helin) travels home to a small village in the Swedish province of Dalarna to attend her father’s 70th, birthday celebrations. It’s not a good idea: The villagers think she’s snooty and her sisters are jealous. Old conflicts re-emerge, people drink too much and the celebrations are crowned with the annual catastrophe. Maria Blom’s debut film is a glorious cocktail of drama and wry humour.
