Sales rep Johann drives a van through the north Brazilian wilderness, peddling aspirin to unsuspecting peasants. He has fl ed his native country, which has been responsible for starting a global war. Ranulpho is fleeing from the drought in the south and the two men become friends – until Brazil declares war on Germany… An epic road-movie with penetrating images and an economical use of dialogue.
