Ruanda 1994. Manzi and Karemera are inseparable best friends. Then the president is murdered and the country is plunged into an appalling civil war between the majority Hutus and the Tutsis which also calls the friendship into question. Manzi has to choose between friendship and family and Karemera pays a terrible price. 15 years after the genocide, Karemera learns that Manzi is to be released from prison and tries everything he can to reverse this decision. Manzi is wracked with remorse about what he has done. Is his guilt too great to be forgiven?
